Brief

Oluchi Orlandi, celebrated African Model decided to nurture a new African modelling talent who will take charge of the runways across the world. Auditions were set in 6 cities across Africa. TOPCOMM provided Public Relations services for the auditions in West Africa (Nigeria & Ghana – July 2013).

 

  • To create massive awareness for Africa’s Next Top Model across Africa using traditional and new media
  • To manage and ensure increasing turnout of would-be models at designated venues in West Africa

Strategy

TOPCOMM provided public relations and event management services for the Africa’s Next Top Model auditions in Lagos and Accra. Coordinated press conferences at both venues with more than 20 media in attendance. Venue set up and branding, including management of over 200 aspiring models at each venue.

Results

Africa’s Next Top Model auditions in Lagos generated about USD160,000 PR value with leading media reporting the story including; Channels TV, Beat FM The Sun; www.bellanaija.com

 

In Ghana, the PR value was above USD69,000 with Graphic Showbiz, the country’s leading entertainment publication using the story as its full cover story.
