GEOCM was approached to position Vienna as a city renowned for its strength in art and culture. This initiative focused on introducing the MuseumsQuartier (MQ) and the Enzis—outdoor furniture pieces. The project involved the official donation of 12 Enzis to the Seoul Design Foundation, facilitated by the Vienna Tourist Board and the Austrian National Tourist Office. The event, named “Hi Austria Hi Vienna,” marked the first government-to-government donation of Enzis in Asia.

    02. IDEATION

The concept was to leverage Vienna’s artistic heritage and the unique Enzis outdoor furniture to enhance its cultural profile on the global stage. The idea was to create a high-impact cultural exchange event that not only introduced the Enzis to Seoul but also showcased Vienna’s commitment to art and design. The event was designed to include engaging public activities and extensive media coverage to maximise visibility and impact.

    03. EXECUTION

To promote the Austrian National Tourist Office in Korea, several actions were undertaken:

    • Introduction of a Korean webpage and Facebook page for increased visibility.
    • A public event was held with extensive media and digital support, including a press conference.
    • The event featured marketing activities such as live drawing, concerts, and dance performances to celebrate the donation.

    04. RESULTS

The “Hi Austria Hi Vienna” event not only highlighted Vienna’s cultural assets but also effectively promoted the Austrian National Tourist Office in Korea. The extensive media coverage and public engagement underscored Vienna’s commitment to international cultural diplomacy. The campaign achieved notable success, with the following outcomes:

    • Over 3,000 visitors attended the site during the public event.
    • More than 60 media coverages across TV, print, and online platforms, with a total media value of €178,016.
