Showcasing Zambia: A Successful German Media Press Trip

    In June 2024, the Kleber Group was approached to increase awareness among German media representatives about Zambia’s unspoilt natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and welcoming atmosphere. The aim was to showcase Zambia’s potential as a premier travel destination, highlighting its safety and the friendly, relaxed nature of its inhabitants.

    02. IDEATION

    Kleber Group co-hosted a group press trip to Zambia, targeting top-tier German media outlets to maximise exposure. The idea was to immerse journalists in Zambia’s diverse attractions, including the capital Lusaka, Livingstone (home to the Victoria Falls), and South Luangwa National Park. By engaging high-profile media representatives, the goal was to generate compelling stories that would capture the essence of Zambia and elevate its profile as a travel destination.

    03. EXECUTION

    During the last week of June, Kleber co-hosted the press trip with Visit Zambia, inviting four journalists from prestigious German media outlets such as RND, dpa, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, as well as the magazines terra and Forum Wochenmagazin. The carefully curated itinerary offered an in-depth exploration of Zambia’s highlights, ensuring that the journalists experienced the country’s natural beauty, wildlife, and the warmth of its people first-hand.

    04. RESULTS

    The press trip was a resounding success, achieving its goal of raising awareness among German media about Zambia’s unique offerings:
